It’s all about image

Its interesting to see how the external image and appearance can be so important for building the acceptance of the people. This of course applies to everyone in the different roles played in life…

I just thought on the comparison of the same situation confronted by the current president of the country and the previous one. They both were accused of having an unrecognized child (being truth or not), Toledo (previous president) denied it for over 3 years of his political term until finally legally give the girl his name without accepting she was the real daughter

Result:
Contributed building a bad reputation as being perceived not ethical in a conservative society as the Peruvian one.

In contrast, Garcia (current president) didn’t wait too long to call the media and announce during a press conference standing next to his wife that during their separation, he got involved with another woman from which experience got a son.

Result: Media very satisfied with the approach, the country admiring the bravery of the president to confront mistakes, and of course the admiration to the dignified wife confronting the situation.

It can be just a matter of appearance but it does make a difference; not only to be but what to say and how to say it.

I have always believed that, and I trust I can keep being authentic without breaking that rule… I guess this should be kind of tough not to break paradigms to maintain social images but what about someone for who is normal breaking them to remain authentic and that creating his/her image?

Taking decisions!! Decisiones todo cuesta!!!

I have been blessed with a lot of unexpected good news lately.
I am living a relaxed waiting for Joost to come to Peru while finishing my courses and giving all my best at work taking a very exciting project... Those special times with my family in the weekend make my time full of joy!

Although, university is not difficult after the experiences I had over the last years, I still enjoyed receiving good grades and nice comments about university projects, essays , interventions in class, etc... After 2 months of intense work, I presented my "quality assurance program" to the senior management team of the company... It was sort of introducing a "this is my theory" in front of my AI team but with the difference that this time I had someone looking at me deeply and giving me all her confidence. Believe it or not, it was the country manager!!! staring at me as those mothers when their kid is doing a performance.

The next day, I got the result for an HR role in TATA consulting services which I happily accepted being in charge of the launch of the awards and recognition program and the implementation of the mentorship program in London!!!!

The same day, I had a job offer as marketing manager in Peru! and after some tough thinking period, I decided to MOVE to London as my new adventure....

As I always would say, it just takes commitment, excellence, perseverance, and a bit of good luck!
I am sooooooooooooooooo happy!!!!!
