Buying your own product?

Although, I am not doing an internship abroad, I was attracted by one of our global partners. It seems that the strategies for employer brand got me so strong with this company, that I decided to join it... An email back and forward and in a week I was already here :) The funny part is that I developed with them those employer brand strategies last year...

Just what I needed at the just perfect time. I am happy sorrounded by people I feel inspired, challenged and confortable with... I never expected to feel this way by working in a company in Peru to be honest but I do. Maybe I dont have a Tom Gara sitting next to me, but I got a new best fun ironic teammate and friend, Coysi!

Regardless the long distance from home (almost 1 hour 1/2), I feel motivated coming everyday with something new to show, something new to bring in. The trip serves as an opportunity to know places of Lima where I hadly go.

My transition after AI have been certainly smooth, I feel very well equiped in terms of abilities, skills, knowledge, experience, perspectives... Probably the biggest challenges to deal with are the burocracy, hierachy, long time taken for everything and passive attitude which sometimes seems to put aside the change agent role of the employees.

Without doubt a great launch for my career pad!

The Wonderful "She"

I think after being abroad for such a long time, I discovered a lot of things about myself which I actually inherit of her

She loves singing loud and dont care where she does it if she wants to
She enjoys making fun of others and specially of herself; when she laughs, sometimes cannot stop
She is very naughty; she actually taught me to do prank calls together when I was 13
She is my stand for authenticity; she is not afraid to say what she thinks and shows what she feels
She encourages me to take risks
She is my partner for shopping ;) and my complice for secret projects
She is the confident of a lot of my best friends
She takes my concerns and sucesses as her own ones
She showed me you can overcome any challenge with her example
She won my total trust and became my very best friend and confident...

She is my mom, Rebeca (forbidden for mom's jokes)

Although, I might not have inherit a lot of her phisically, I have got a lot in other aspects...

Close friends are forever

My first weekend in Peru and my closest friends took me dancing. It was really fun and curious to realize that "perreo" and "regueton" were a big hit in the most exclusive discos in Lima...

Laughing, drinking, dancing and sharing stories until being exhausted which lately is at 3am. Its amazing that you meet friends you dont see for years, and it seems that you have seen then the day before... same deeply authentic people, those that knew my pranks at school and that actually used to get together with me to make them. Those times when we hided in the kid's houses to scape school ceremonies, or sing in opera voice to interrupt classes.
