Melancholic Lithuania

I arrived to Lithuania completely tired. I was travelling the whole day almost from Zaragoza (when the spanish conference was held) to Druskininkai, a little town in Lithuania.

It was great to have the final picture of my AIESEC Conference as the one I had. ITC was so much energy, so much passion, so much what I needed to see at the moment.
The art of hosting was a parallel event to ITC, it was a workshop about personal discovery and how to create an environment for meaningful conversations to happen. The workshop was delivered by one partner organization we just started working with; although one of the faciliators was an AIESEC alumni, the methodology used to deliver the workshop was definitely different. An interactive intimate mode / environment of practical conversations. Creating connections is certainly something (between others) I will take with me from AIESEC...

I have never been in Easter Europe before, and its indeed different to what I knew of Europe. You can feel the peaceful atmosphere, and the country moving in slow motion, almost sad; as if the country would be melancholic...

I took a walk around the city center and managed to go with Ausra to Trakai half an hour away from Vilnius which was simply amazing. It was a perfect picture got from a fairytale. On the other hand the simplicity of the citites almost remind me some parts of Peru acompanied with classical music around instead of merengue.

I left Lithuania with a big smile, memories, and willigness to be back home in Rotterdam after 2 weeks that seemed 2 months full of experiences (creating more impact in more places) to share with my team.
